SEO Specialist
About the Role
We're looking for an experienced SEO Specialist to join our growing team at IndexGPT. As a key member of our marketing team, you'll be responsible for developing and executing SEO strategies that drive organic traffic growth for our AI-powered indexing platform.
You'll work closely with our content, product, and engineering teams to optimize our website, create data-driven content strategies, and ensure IndexGPT maintains strong visibility across both traditional search engines and emerging AI-powered search platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Google Gemini.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute comprehensive SEO strategies to increase organic traffic and improve search rankings
- Conduct keyword research and competitive analysis to identify growth opportunities
- Optimize website content, meta tags, and technical elements for both traditional and AI-powered search
- Create and maintain our llms.txt file and other AI crawler optimization protocols
- Monitor and analyze SEO performance using Google Analytics, Search Console, and other tools
- Collaborate with content team to create SEO-optimized blog posts, guides, and landing pages
- Stay current with Google algorithm updates and emerging AI search trends
- Build and manage link-building campaigns to improve domain authority
- Conduct technical SEO audits and implement fixes for crawlability and indexation issues
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of proven experience in SEO with demonstrable results
- Deep understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO best practices
- Proficiency with SEO tools (Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Analytics, Search Console)
- Strong analytical skills and data-driven decision-making abilities
- Experience with content management systems (Shopify, WordPress, etc.)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment
- Understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic web development concepts
Nice to Have
- Experience optimizing for AI-powered search engines (ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude)
- Knowledge of IndexNow protocol and real-time indexing
- Familiarity with e-commerce SEO and Shopify platform
- Experience with conversion rate optimization (CRO)
- Background in SaaS or B2B marketing
- Understanding of structured data and schema markup
- Experience with international SEO and multi-language optimization

Shopify Development Specialist

IndexGPT is seeking a talented Shopify Development Specialist to enhance and maintain our flagship Shopify app. You'll be responsible for building new features, improving app performance, and ensuring seamless integration with Shopify's ecosystem.
As a core member of our engineering team, you'll work on cutting-edge features that help Shopify merchants optimize their stores for AI-powered search engines. You'll collaborate with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver high-quality solutions that directly impact our users' success.
This role offers the opportunity to work with modern web technologies, Shopify's powerful API ecosystem, and innovative AI indexing protocols. You'll have significant autonomy in technical decisions and the chance to shape the future of our product.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain features for the IndexGPT Shopify app using React, Node.js, and Shopify APIs
- Implement real-time indexing functionality using IndexNow protocol and AI crawler optimization
- Build intuitive admin interfaces and dashboards for merchant analytics
- Optimize app performance, speed, and reliability across different Shopify plans
- Integrate with third-party APIs (Bing Webmaster Tools, Google Search Console, AI platforms)
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues reported by merchants
- Stay current with Shopify platform updates and implement necessary changes
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of professional experience developing Shopify apps or themes
- Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and Node.js
- Deep understanding of Shopify API (Admin, Storefront, GraphQL)
- Experience with RESTful APIs and webhook implementations
- Familiarity with Git version control and collaborative development workflows
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a remote team
- Understanding of web performance optimization and security best practices
