What do I need to do after installing the app?

Choose a plan and start your 3-day free trial, then calculate your AI SEO Score on the Dashboard and follow your Action Plan. Next, activate the 3 core tools in Tools: Instant Indexing (real-time indexing), LLMs.txt (helps AI read your site) and Brand Signals (regular AI updates). Those 3 will work for you over time. Then you can connect your Google Analytics account on the Monitor page to track your AI traffic and set up Prompt Tracking (on Premium and Enterprise). You can then read our guides and generate reports about your store that will help improve your AI SEO.

How often do I need to use IndexGPT?

Once configured, the app runs automatically in the background. You can check the Monitor page, the Prompt Tracking and the reports (like the AI SEO Score or the Sentiment Analysis) occasionally to monitor your performance.

What does IndexGPT do?

It helps your store get discovered and recommended by AI assistants. Start with your AI SEO Score and Action Plan, then use the tools to improve indexation and ranking, track key prompts, and generate reports.

Do you offer a free plan?

Accepted Answer

No. IndexGPT no longer has a free plan. Instead, Essentials and Premium come with a 3-day free trial, so you can run your AI SEO Score, review your Action Plan and try the tools before you’re charged.

Do you offer a free trial?

Accepted Answer

Yes. A 3-day free trial begins automatically when you subscribe to Essentials or Premium. You can change plans or uninstall any time before the trial ends with no charge. The Enterprise plan does not include a free trial.

What does the Enterprise plan include?

Enterprise is $345/month and includes everything in Premium, plus a dedicated account manager, a monthly strategy call, an advanced growth plan, unlimited credits on all tools and priority support. It is billed monthly and has no free trial.

What’s the difference between the Essentials and Premium plans?

Essentials includes your AI SEO Score and Action Plan, the core tools (Instant Indexing, Brand Signals, LLMs.txt File Builder and Robots.txt Analysis), plus 100+ marketing tips and our SEO guides. Premium adds Smart Blogger, the AI Prompt Tracker, Content Creator, AI Sentiment Analysis, the Schema Markup Builder and premium support.

Can I swap between plans?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You will not be charged during the trial. You can switch between Monthly and Annual billing and between Essentials, Premium and Enterprise at any time. The Enterprise plan is billed monthly and does not include a free trial. Billing changes are handled by Shopify.

Will I be charged if I uninstall right after the trial?

Accepted Answer

If you uninstall after the 3-day trial ends (Day 4 or later), you’ll be charged for the first billing cycle. The charge is triggered when the trial ends. To avoid charges, uninstall before the trial period expires.

What happens if I upgrade from Essentials to Premium mid-cycle?

Accepted Answer

You’ll pay the full amount for your current Essentials plan plus a prorated charge for the Premium upgrade for the remaining days in your billing cycle. For example, if you upgrade 15 days into your monthly cycle, you pay $16 (Essentials) + $15 (prorated Premium difference) = $31 for that period. After that, you’ll pay $45/month.

What happens if I switch from Monthly to Annual billing?

You’ll be billed immediately for the full annual amount ($128 for Essentials or $432 for Premium). Your new annual billing cycle starts right away, and you save 33% on Essentials or 20% on Premium compared to monthly billing. Enterprise is billed monthly only.

What happens if I downgrade from Premium to Essentials?

You’ll receive an application credit for the unused portion of your Premium plan. For example, if you downgrade 15 days into your cycle, you get a credit of about $22.50 applied to future Shopify app purchases. You won’t pay the full amount for both plans.

What happens if I switch from Annual to Monthly billing?

The change takes effect at the end of your current annual cycle. You’ll continue using and paying for the annual plan until the year ends, then switch to monthly billing at the standard monthly rate.

What happens if I cancel my subscription?

Accepted Answer

When you cancel, no future charges are applied and you lose access to the paid tools. You only pay what you’ve already committed to, such as the current month’s bill on a monthly plan. Billing is managed by Shopify, so cancellations and plan changes are handled there.

How long before I see AI traffic results?

You should start to see AI traffic in the first months. Meaningful traffic will come over time depending on your niche, content quality, and competition. AI SEO is a gradual process.

What if I don’t see results?

If you’re not getting AI traffic, it’s because your store is not yet optimized to be recommended by AI assistants. We suggest calculating your AI SEO Score on the Dashboard and running the LLM Sentiment report from Tools. They will tell you how optimized your store is for AI and how AI assistants currently perceive your brand. You should also check the Guides section for actionable improvement strategies.

Do you guarantee results?

We ensure proper indexing and we help you improve your rankings. Results will always depend on your content quality, brand authority, and market competition. To maximize your performance, you should optimize your SEO and signal to LLMs that you’re trustworthy and relevant. You can learn how to do this in our Guides section.

Will it affect my store’s speed or front end?

Accepted Answer

No. IndexGPT runs in the background with zero impact on your store’s speed. You also control which tools are active at any time.

How do I know the app is working?

Accepted Answer

You can track the actions of our tools by yourself. The Instant Indexing submissions can be tracked directly on Bing Webmaster Tools, Brand Signals can be tracked under "Recent Outreach Messages" on its page, and the LLMs.txt file can be seen directly at www.yourwebsite.com/llms.txt. You can also keep track of your performance by connecting your Google Analytics.

You just need to connect your Google Analytics on the Monitor page. Make sure you’re using an email with access to the property you want to track.

Prompt Tracking lets you test specific queries in ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity to see if your brand appears in the responses to the prompts you’ve created.
